Coach Cat-Tam
University of Southern California
An undergraduate at the University of Southern California, Cat-Tam studies Acting alongside Cinematic Arts and Business. Since 7th grade, she has competed in United States Interpretation Events, specializing in Humorous Interpretation.
Some of her proudest high school accomplishments include placing 6th at the 2024 NSDA Nationals, winning the 2023 and 2024 Tournament of Champions, and graduating ranked 1st in Humorous Interpretation and 5th overall in NSDA points. She also placed 8th in Storytelling at the 2025 NSDA Nationals and won both the 2024 UC Berkeley Invitational and 2025 Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational in Dramatic Interpretation.
In middle school, she championed Humorous Interpretation at the 2020 and 2021 NSDA Nationals, Spoken Word Poetry at the 2021 NSDA Nationals, and became the first competitor to reach 1,000 NSDA points.
Even in high school, her coaching led to other state finalists and national semi-finalists.
Cat-Tam believes that voicing a message unique to you is key to making a performance stand out. She’s excited to help you discover your storytelling style through dynamic characters, creative blocking, and impactful timing—while also having fun, a skill that transfers beyond the stage and helped her gain admission to other top colleges such as Stanford, UC Berkeley, and New York University.
